What is Family Dog Mediation?
Developed by applied ethologist Kim Brophey and acclaimed by leading canine experts as “the single most important development in the dog behavior industry,” Family Dog Mediation (FDM) utilizes the L.E.G.S. Model, which offers a holistic approach to understanding canine behavior. L.E.G.S. stands for Learning, Environment, Genetics, and Self—four fundamental factors that influence how dogs act and interact. This model provides a comprehensive framework for analyzing and addressing all aspects of animal behavior.
Learning
an animal’s experiences and education in life
Environment
the external environment of an animal’s world
Genetics
the DNA that designed the animal inside and out
Self
the internal conditions of a given animal (health, age, sex, personality, etc.)
